Mount Carmel College is situated in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Mount Carmel College is one of the first women?s college established in India in the year 1944 at Trichur, Kerala as Carmel College under Madras University and in the year 1948 the college was shifted to Bengaluru.
The Mount Carmel College was granted autonomous status in the year 2005 under Bengaluru central university.

Admission Procedure in Mount Carmel College
Admission in college is done on merit basis of marks obtained in 10+2 for under graduate courses; students must have above 50% marks for applying for the course. Entrance exam is conducted for admission in BA ? Honours program in Communication studies, with first class pass in class 12th. For post graduation again admission is granted on merit basis prepared on the marks obtained by the students in graduation.
